The Fraser Gallery, 1054 31st Street, NW will hold an opening reception for "The Real Future" from 6 PM to 9 PM Friday. The artists' works reflect contemporary realism by art students in the Washington area.

The exhibit includes oil paintings by Northwest resident Reem Bassous, Virginia resident Karen Carruth, and master of fine arts degree candidates at George Washington University. The youngest of the artists is a recent graduate on National Cathedral School, Northwest resident Christie Greer, who will attend Princeton University in the fall. Her medium is also in oil.

The exhibit will continue through Sept. 19 from noon to 3 PM Tuesday through Friday and noon to 6 PM Saturday. 202/298-6450.
