DIANORA NICCOLINI

Dianora Niccolini Resume

The Fraser Gallery is pleased to represent the work of Dianora Niccolini exclusively in the D.C Metro area.

Dianora Niccolini is widely regarded as a pioneering photographer of the male nude. Niccolini began her photographic career in the Sixties upon meeting world-renowned photographer Weege. Her work has been included in numerous national and international exhibitions and is in the permanent collections of several important museums.

In 1975, an exhibition of her work was threatened with closure by New York City police. Of that exhibit, Sunday New York Times art critic Gene Thornton wrote "Dianora Niccolini . . . comes about as close to idealization as is possible in photography."
